Take your degree in Metallurgy Engineering (or Materials Science) to an exciting level as a valuable contributor to a new technology!
You will lead application development on a new metal spray technique in a rapidly growing manufacturing facility. This is your chance to take charge of all experimentation, testing, feasibility assessment, quotations and specialty orders.
Your 1 to 3 years experience in the ferrous and/or non-ferrous metal manufacturing or developmental environment, backed by knowledge of powder metallurgy, powder making, and/or powder compaction will assist Engineering and Sales to provide improved performance of coating quality and productivity.
You will also assist other divisions with metallurgical assessments and projects and stay abreast of developments in the market of spray / cold spray technologies.Must have experience in powder metallurgy, powder making, and/or powder compaction as well as material characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, EDS, ICP-OES, DSC, XRF, micro-hardness, material functionalities evaluation techniques per ASTM, ASME, SAE, MIL, etc.
Desirable knowledge / experience include: thermal /cold spray, failure analysis, surface engineering technologies, and metal heat treatment and joining.
As a vital part of the team, you must be an effective communicator and be able to take responsibility for all facets of this new technology. Knowledge of various CAD programs and office software is required, as the ability to establish priorities.
